As a competitive swimmer, I know that I cannot achieve my individual goals without the support of my teammates. My goal is to use my tenacity and interpersonal skills I developed as an athlete and apply them to school and the workplace.
I'm a competitive swimmer
Interpersonal skills
- Work well as part of a team or
independently and communicate effectively.
- Capable of showing initiative and asking
for help when needed.
Organizational skills
- Manage self-scheduling school hours while
maintaining a rigorous training schedule
- Excellent prioritization skill
Adaptability
- Able to quickly learn new tools and
techniques.
- Always prepared to change approach and
skilled at analyzing the optimal course of action.
All of the skills I have, I've aquired through swimming and working with others. My interpersonal skills have grown over the years by swimming with others and supporting eachother during good times and bad times. Organization has always been a big part of my life as I need to be able to balance good grades in school with training everyday, multiple times a day, in the pool. My adaptability has always been necessary in my life as I have moved multiple times to new cities, so being able to adapt and make new friends has been very important. I look to gain more important skills as I progress through my life and work.
